Pack one box of essential items to be kept with you at all times. Having this Survival Kit on hand will prevent emergency trips to the store and frantic shuffling through boxes at your destination.

It's also a good idea to prepare ahead of time an easy-to-transport pot of soup, chili, or a casserole. When you reach your destination, simply warm it up and sit down to your first family meal in your new home.
