When it comes to health care facilities, Lancaster is indeed fortunate in having some of the finest services available in the state.

Within the city, three full care hospitals provide a choice of general, religious, osteopathic, or community affiliated services. In addition there are two hospitals in the communities of Columbia and Ephrata. Lancaster General, the largest hospital in the county, has also recently opened a “Mothers and Babies” Hospital to meet the growing needs of specialized health care.
